Sorry for the delayed update on the minutes of our first meeting @Padi Cyberjaya on the 12th of March 2010. Atie had emailed me a couple of weeks ago but I couldn’t find time to logged in to our dot com and update it. Works are piling up as always, but thank Allah today I managed to find time to update. Anyway, here’s the minutes and should you guys have any inquiries, feel free to leave a note in the comment box, and we’ll try to answer a.s.a.p. And to dearest Atie, I really (x100000) appreciate your effort; taking down notes during the meeting, and then typing them out nicely in a document. Next time we’ll paksa Firah to do that ok. Hehe. Alhamdulillah, discussions were quite active both in tkc9600.com and Facebook. As per requested, and as promised by yours truly, now I’ll update on the not-yet-final conclusions from the discussions. I will also share with you the information that I got from OGA. But for today, we’re going to focus on only the date. And I hope we can come to a decision.

Date…

I think we have to cross out 10.10.10 from our list. It’s unanimous that everyone thinks the date is a HOT one. Hot as in hot foe weddings,engagements,attending weddings,attending engagements et cetera. Even though it means A LOT if we can do it on that date, but we’re gonna go for practicality instead. Afraid that there won’t be many turnouts on the day of the anniversary. But a small get together,an informal one can be arranged if we want to meet up on this date. That is, if we don’t have any weddings/ engagements to attend to that day (aku sanggup ambik cuti to come down to KL if anyone nak get together on 10.10.10).

Atie suggested 5.Nov.10 since it’s a public holiday (Deepavali) and seconded by Inamadz and Fozz. Ina suggested the theme "Colors of Rangoli" if we were to have the anniversary on that date. Though I can’t imangine myself wearing a sari (I dare not imagine!! Hahahah), but the idea is good too. It’s on Friday, so no one needs to apply for leave, except for the Doctors of our batch (Marr, Pau Ahmad tak cuti jugak ke on Deepavali? ).

Idya suggested 10.July.10. It’s on Saturday. And those in Kedah, Kelantan and Terengganu need to apply for leave at least for Sunday,the day after. Unless, you can bear it, then go ahead and work the next day. Hehehe. I know I can’t. LOL. I will be busy with preparations for UPSR during this time,though.  Not that the show can’t go on without me, but I’d be extremely devastated if I can’t join in the celebration. TT_TT

The last one is 6.Dec.10. To be honest, I REALLLLLLY agree if we go on with this date. It is so SIGNIFICANT with our batch since 6.Dec.95 was officially the day most of us first stepped on Bukit Merbah as TKC9600 (those yang ada visit kakak-kakak tak kira ok?). It will be on Sunday Monday,so those in Kedah, Kelantan and Terengganu, imho, definitely need to apply for leave, but the day after is a public holiday (Awal Muharam). It is the 10th anniversary, so I personally think it should have some significance to our batch,no?

Can we have a poll then? And can I officially CLOSE the suggestions for dates? If not, we might end up with other suggestions and in the end won’t come to a decision. So, only these three dates,ok? Cast your votes now. This poll will end on 13 Feb 2010.

A few days back, Firah has messaged me and a few others in Facebook. So for a few days, we have been discussing roughly on the committees and what to do during the reunion. But before I proceed to the point, I’d like to apologize for not updating our blog. I’m not going to give any excuses because for sure it’s going to be cliché and lame,so I’m hoping you guys would accept my apology. ♥ ♥ ♥ InsyaAllah, God willing, I’ll update this blog as frequent as I can.

In part 3 of our 10th Anniversary entry, I wrote about the committees for the reunion. A few have suggested me as the Director in that entry. And again in the Facebook message. Accepting it comes with a big burden of duties, so I’m hoping we can all work together to make the reunion a successful and memorable event. Here’s the list of the committees that we’ve roughly discussed. Kindly voice out your comment if you think this committee needs amendment.

As you can see we still have a few posts empty. I’d like to nominate Nana, but don’t know for 7,8, or 9.. Nana please volunteer for one! Hehehehe.. And if anyone thinks she’s up to the challenge, please nominate yourself. No need to be shy or whatnot, because this is for the benefit of our batch. Plus, time is running out!! We have to have the committee a.s.a.p so that we can work on the plans.

For now, we kind of decided to have a “mini gathering” during OGA Day on the 1st of May 2010. Nothing specific has been planned, for now it’s just like a normal visit to Bukit Merbah. But if a number of us gather in one place, you know it won’t be NORMAL anymore,right? It’ll be LOUD. EXTREMELY LOUD!! Hehehehe. And the date for the reunion I assume it’s decided on Sunday, 10.10.10? Unless Shambie decided to tie the knot that day [jeng jeng jeng], I think for now we’ll be using that date as our benchmark. Am I right?

So girls, I think that’s all for now. Will update more once I get your feedback.

i’m terribly sorry for the long silence. i’ve been away for a couple of weeks because of the school holidays. yup, i made FULL USE of my school break, and really berehat-rehat sambil menternak lemak di rumah. even though during weekends daku akan bersama shambie. and last weekend we went to mizot’s before attending my friend’s wedding. managed to ‘update’ a.k.a gossip a little.  :lol:

ermm, about the 10th Year Anniversary Committee, thanks for giving your thoughts and suggestions. we’ll continue about it later. this entry is mainly to let you guys know i’m still around. and to give info about the TKCOGA’s activity next month. Firah’s colleague a.k.a our senior, Kak Fern asked me to put this up in our website and Facebook. so here goes:-

yeah, i know we ALL HAVE NOT REGISTERED for TKCOGA yet, but it’s ok i guess. after all, once a TKCian, always a TKCian, right? if the kakak-kakak see Class of 2000 together, they won’t be in doubt. don’t you think? if any of you would like to bowl and represent TKC9600 [which you're most welcome to!], do contact the person in charge. Kak Fern told me they need to confirm the teams by 20th June 2009 [that's this Saturday!!], so if you’re interested please cepat-cepat call. and guys, don’t underestimate OGA ok, from our experiences that day, they are no different from us. still gila-gila.

one thing though, the event is on the SAME day as Idya’s wedding. i know i won’t be around for Le Tua de Alley. so are Atie,Shazu,Firah,Kochee,Kechik and others who are going to Temerloh. but, even if i get to go i know i’ll only be the cheerleader, bersorak di belakang-belakang only.

pardon me for such a long silence. i have been busy with my students’ mid year examination i didn’t really have the time to post an entry here.  now it’s the school holiday, so for the time being i’m quite free [ have not marked the students' exam papers yet though~]. busy or not, the planning for our10th anniversary is still in my mind.

last week, i was online with some of us through emails to ask for opinions. and as promised, this entry [part 3] will be on the committee. after discussing among us, we have decided to form a committee consisting of the list below:-

as always,your opinions and suggestions are most welcome. as much as we appreciate critics, we do need constructive comments too, i.e. comments that comes with suggestions to make things better. i do aplologize for making the decision after only discussing with only a few of us, but as  i stated above, if you have anything that you think should be amended, then please speak your mind. i’m merely putting up what we have discussed, but like always, this is not final.

on the other hand, if you think the proposed committee is o-kay, then i would like all of you to nominate anyone among ourselves [including yourself] to be in the committee. those who you think would do the job well. shaxu and idya have volunteered to be in the SOUVENIRS ‘department’ which include preparing stuff for goodie bags and souvenirs for teachers.

zack would definitely be in the FOOD committee, but we still need another one who’s staying locally just in case zack couldn’t make it [nauzubillahiminzalik!!] that day. this person will work with the director and secretary regarding the F&B on the day.

i would like to nominate ninie as the treasurer since that’s her forte. feel free to suggest orang lain though, this is not final. :-D we will be collecting funds for the celebration, but the exact amount will only be decided by the committee that we are going to form after this.

frankly, i’m not really comfortable writing about this since i knew about mida’s condition. it seems rather inappropriate to be talking/discussing about this thing when mida is fighting her pain. but i do hope everyone will be understanding. any news regarding mida will be updated as soon as we hear anything. so in the meantime, let’s continue our discussion on the 10th year anniversary plan now, shall we?

let me start off with the reasons WHY i would like/prefer the anniversary be held in october [yes, the school is STILL in session at that time] and WHY the celebration should be in college.

• as we would be turning 27 next year, it will be appropriate for us to have a sort of “give back” session with the present collegians. perhaps we can share some experiences with them about working world or life post-college.
• 2011, college will move to a new location, i.e. Nilai. So 2010 will be the LAST year our beloved college would be on Bukit Merbah.
• one of the itineraries i have in mind [to be explained later], involves EATING in dining hall, so by having the celebration during school holidays, we HAVE to skip that. [as i'm writing suddenly "SAUSAGE MASAK MERAH" came in mind..] *drool*
• i thought of inviting our teachers who currently are no longer teaching in college to the anniversary. at least if they are still in negeri sembilan [like Monsieur Amir-yes Nadz,he's teaching in SMAP Labu now], we won’t intefere their school holidays.

please bear in mind that this comes from a teacher herself.  if you ask me, i would definitely want it to be during school holidays so that i won’t have to apply for cuti, but for the above reasons, i think it should be done somewhere during school session. please don’t worry about getting permission or the place to sleep in college. as this is only the early stage of our plan, i will seek advice from the OGs [batch 8084] regarding the issue.

and like i’ve commented before, the overnight stay is OPTIONAL and is most likely/only applied to single people [like yours truly,firah,atie and shazu..err, shambie pun ke?!!] and the committees that we are going to have later [for persiapan tempat etc]. i understand the difficulties to those with child/children, that’s why the MAIN events will only be on 10.10.10 [sunday] so you won’t have to worry about leaving our anak-anak saudara(s)  and your better halves by themselves.

however, there’s ONE thing that i’m afraid of and the only reason why our anniversary WON’T be on 10.10.10. that is, if it falls during the PMR Week. i know “Bonda” won’t approve it and i also think it’ll be inappropriate [Bonda-that's what collegians call the principle, not like we used to call ours,"Rocky" ]. this can’t be confirmed until next year though, because exam dates are not fixed. but for the time being let’s just stick to the date, can we? the poll is still going. so, place your vote there ok. if you have another date to suggest, i.e. the same date as 2010 OGA Day, please let us know.

alright, now le’ts get to the itinerary of the day. mind you that these are just my suggestions and they are subjected to changes or improvements that you think should be done in order to have a complete one. ideas or other suggestions are most welcome too.

1. solat hajat & yaasin recital for PMR & SPM [if PMR dah lepas then utk SPM je]
2. film show [it would be a dream if we can have the one like we used to have, if not guna LCD je lah..]
3. dinner,supper [091010],breakfast,lunch,tea [101010] @ dining hall
4. basketball/volleyball match – interhouse or tkc9600 vs collegians
5. house meeting
6. college meeting/experience sharing @ Dewan Budiman
7. lunch with teachers [as in no.3]
8. slideshow [of our times in college - can be included in no.6]

please tell me what you think. these are not final. part 3 will be on the committees.

as we were reminiscing the old times [and that's after our tummies were full], Kak Min came to our table to remind us about the treasure hunt that we signed up earlier. it was around 2pm at that time and we were supposed to be at the block A lounge for a little briefing. i think we started regretting our decision at that time, but alas, things couldn’t be undone. so, off we went to block A. shaxu,atie and dekinn went back after lunch. [yup, apa-apa jadi pun WAJIB kena MAKAN and jumpa Kak Julia dulu!]

it turned out that ONLY the eight of us signed up for the hunt!! out of every OG that came that day. our big CS must be grateful to us, for we have made it possible for them to go on with the activity. if we went back early, with shazu and atie they must have had to cancel the event. hehe. anyway, while waiting for the juniors [yup, we were the ones that had to wait for them, not vice versa], 2 tkc9094 [if i'm not mistaken] joined us, as well as Kak Hilda and Kak Idashah [she's as petit as she used to,btw!] Kak Min started off with a briefing with Kak Adi assisting her. the “marshals” for the hunt was Kak Jaja, Kak Abby, Kak Adi and Kak Marni [i seriously didn't have any idea which house she was..] in the briefing, Kak Min told us that we will be given a clue to solve that’ll bring us to the next clue. and in order to get the next clues, we might need to do a challenge. sincerely, at that time i remembered how our CS used to make us do stuff. nyanyi lagu,lecture etc. lol.

we were assigned into groups, each group with 2 juniors [present tkcians]. i paired with aboon [who replaced dekinn, she went back early due to her injury], aliza and shambie, ninie and elly and firah and haida. we were given the first clue, and seriously we DIDN’T HAVE ANY CLUE where to go. i can’t even explain or rewrite the clues here because they were so vague. so in the end, we ended up tailing the groups that solved the clues. the first one was to go to SETINGGAN and we had to do a challenge there. what was it, u asked?! huhuhu. we had to arrange the trays and mugs neatly,in 2 straight lines on the table. yup, it must be straight,straight.

the next clue was even harder to figure out. but people were flocking the SICKBAY, so me and aboon went there. here, we had to look for the clue. and aliza’s competitiveness was vividly shown here. Kak Hilda,Kak Idashah and Kak Ilya even opted to climb onto the beds to look for the clues, while others running all over the sickbay, in search of the goddeymm clue. me and haida [though we were not in the same group], we used our brains. we made them do the hard work, and when aliza’s junior finally found the clue, we quickly grabbed our clues too. hahahaha. and the clue was as hard to solve as before. but all of the groups were convinced it was LOVER’S LANE. so, we spent quite a lot of time there to look for another clue. and oh, the juniors DON’T KNOW what is lover’s lane, btw. aduiiii~

i managed to solve the next clue, which was quite obvious when it mentioned ‘but why are the showers so scary?’.. can anyone guess? yup, it was DUNGEON. the juniors were not really helpful,anyway. i think most of the clues, if not all, were solved by the OGs. or at least that’s what happened in my group. we had to do another challenge here, with Kak Min inspecting. not a hard one, but we don’t think we need to be in the dungeon for too long so we quickly finished the task. yeah, it’s still a little bit creepy down there if you’re alone. thank god at that time all of the participants were there. next is COMMON ROOM and the clue lead us to the next check point, the BASKETBALL COURT. with Kak Zefi around, we had to shoot @least 1 ball. thankfully the junior in my team used to be a basketballer [she's in F4, quit basketball to focus on SILAT.wowwww! hehe].. so it was an easy task for her, she scored with her first try.

then off we went to SURAU. Kak Hilda found the clue and we had to RUN to SQUARE. yes, people.. I RAN!! from surau to square, to be exact!! it may look like a short distance if we imagine it, but to actually run in that short distance, hurmmmm..enough said, the REGRET just felt so much stronger. hahaha. but that’s not bad compared to the task we had to do @ the square. Kak Abby was waiting and to our surprise, we had to MARCH along the square. really felt as if we were being bullied by our big CS. hahhahaha. the next clue then lead us to IRONING ROOM BLOCK C where we had to fold clothes VERY neatly in order to get the clue. challenged done, we had to RUN AGAIN to the hall. here we were clueless on what to do, but in the end i guess somebody solved the clue and we had to go up the BALCONY. again, the OGs used their brains and ordered the juniors instead. hahahaha. the hunt/race ended when finally we had to go back to Block A lounge and sent in our clues and answer sheet.

so here’s our full route that day; BLOCK A-SETINGGAN-SICKBAY-LOVER’S LANE-DUNGEON-COMMON ROOM-BASKETBALL COURT-SURAU-SQUARE-IRONING ROOM BLOCK C-BALCONY-BLOCK A. phewww.. thank god the route didn’t cover the class blocks. if not, i might withdraw myself from the race. upon reaching the lounge, we took a rest di bawah kipas dek kepanasan and keletihan. and our feelings were mutual. these are a few whinings from us, post treasure hunt:-

• menyesal gell sign up!
• aliza, kau lah ni paksa kitorang masuk!
• sakit gell kaki aku.. 
• menyesal gell aku bagi nama tadi!
• huish, urat dah bersimpul dah ni..
• aku dah 10 tahun x lari, ok?! penat gell.. [aliza and fizzy]
• confirm esok aku tak boleh bangun nih..
• seriously menyesal..

hehehe..aliza and shambie’s group got 3rd place, and they actually thought of sharing the food hamper with the juniors,you know.. [shambie dengan rakusnya berniat nak ambil cereal dalam hamper tu..] hahahaha.. but being the good OGs, we gave all the hampers to the juniors. even though we were the ones who ran to the check points,climbed the beds and stairs and solved the clues, it’s the fun that we had during the event that mattered most. not the prizes we get after that. the treasure hunt ended at around 4pm, and the last event for the day was the basketball match between OGs and PPM players. by then not so many OGs were around, and the OG team was represented by mostly 9599 basketballers, i.e Tasnim [my BS], Lennie and Niza Nisbar. however, we were toooooo tired to cheer for them, so we hang around the block A lounge and had some experience sharing with the juniors. seriously you guys, they missed out a lot of good stuff. somehow listening to their stories, it seemed as if we went to different school. college life nowadays is quite lifeless. sigh~

then, we were able to go to F2 block, after being amazed by the cybercafe located at the place where the band members used to have our practice back then. [apa nama tempat tu?! between F2 block and canteen.. sangat tak aci, kan?! zaman kita we had to sneak out nak gi computer lab. siap curi kunci etc]. the Ko-op was closed, so no souvenirs to bring back except for the stickers we got along with the goodie bag. borak-borak some more with Tasnim and Lennie, and then we bid farewell to Bukit Merbah.

so, i think that’s about it. our visit to TKC on 9th of May 2009. like i told those who went there, it’s the company that matters most when we do gatherings or reunions. even though there were only about 10 of us that day, it felt as if ALL 140 of tkc9600 were there.  and to be able to be in the college compund that day, was definitely an added bonus. we got to reminisce more and think about the good and bad times we had in those 5 years in Bukit Merbah. perhaps, like firah said, the only thing [besides treasure hunt] that we regret was that we didn’t have enough time to mingle around with the OGs. frankly that day, something that we always hold on to was proved to be true. once a TKCian, always a TKCian. no matter how old or how young you are.

aku sayang you guys so much and aku sangat miss korang. i am truly blessed to have met all of you and i wouldn’t trade our friendship with anything.

after college song we scattered around the college ground and spotted the free Milo van in front of the hall. there was quite a long queue, but being the OLD girls that day, we did what we did best: CUT LINE!! hahahahahaha. alas, Miss Noraini spotted us and gave us a ‘lecture’. deymmmmm.. Puan Suryani was there too. Kak Min (Jasmin) and Kak Adi (Adiana) also spotted us, as we were SO LOUD and urged us to join the treasure hunt. thanks to Kak Adi’s great marketing skills and Aliza’s determination for us to give points to our houses, we signed up. little did we know that we were going to regret it. i’ll elaborate this later.

the FIRST place that we went to visit after that was Dining Hall. heheheh.. the exact place where we GREW up. lol. we spotted kak julia, but she was quick as ever so we lost her. one more thing, the announcement nowadays is a bit different. they don’t have the “I REPEAT..” after the first round of the announcement. kinda miss that. then we strolled around the square, past RTKC and block B towards the basketball court to watch dekinn warming up for her game. fyi, there are signs “DILARANG MEMIJAK RUMPUT” all over the place. the funny thing is, the signs were put up just a day before the OG Day, according to the juniors that we asked. we were like, hello?!! did they think we’re going to follow that rules? sedangkan di zaman persekolahan pun tak ikut, apatah lagi bila dah jadi OG!! lol.

we cheered for dekinn outside the court, and being us, the volume was always maximum. Kak Zefi came to us and insisted that we ALL played for tkcoga since she didn’t get many participants that day. aliza being the debater AND the lawyer, firmly told Kak Zefi off by saying; “kitorang dah signed up for treasure hunt“. seriously, Kak Zefi terus tersenyap dan terkedu, like someone that has just lost a case! then,she just said okay. hahahahah.. go aliza!!! just right after that we went into block A lounge and again, were insisted to join the LINE DANCING! i really think it’s because the kakak-kakak saw how happy,cheerful and loud we were so they thought we didn’t mind shaking our booties in the hall. oh, we do mind, we really do! hahahaha. [am not sure about aliza, though. she seemed interested. and firah too, obviously!]

basketball match started and quickly it became the highlight of the day. the volume of the six of us [minus dekinn who was in the court] beat the collegians. seriously you guys, watching the game really brought A LOT of memories. the match was between tkcoga and tkc junior team,btw. the juniors played well, but i think the OGs played even better especially after hearing our cheer. chewah!! but like we did in the hall, the juniors were intimidated at how loud our cheer was, then only they started cheering. oh my, they really need a lecture-lah!

atie and shaxu arrived in the midst of the match and the cheer became even louder. plus the kakak-kakak all joined us and we became one that day, as the OGs. but our happiness was put to a stop when dekinn fell and dislocated her knee. not sure about her ankle, though. but thank god we have quite a few doctors among the OGs, so they gave some useful advices to dekinn. even dato’ fuziah came and gave moral support to dekinn, saying she had done a great job in the game. yup, dekinn played REALLY well that day, and deserved the MVP award if there was one.

i think the match ended a short while later and tkcoga WON by 10 points if i’m not mistaken. by then, aboon and her *cough* boyfriend had joined us. we left the injured one a.k.a dekinn @the block A lounge and headed to the hall to watch the line dancing. and we toured the backstage and it was almost the same like before. except the audio system was a bit high tech than our time. oh, i almost forgot, before we went to see the basketball match, we managed to have the hall to ourselves and sang the batch song with ninie on the piano. and we sang the Negri song(s) too, though it was quite nerve wrecking to figure out the intro for the second one; ‘bersama setia..pemimpin dan rakyat..‘ etc. hehehehe. the line dancing didn’t start on time so we opted for the career talk by our big CSes instead. the talk was held @the new building behind the surau. and at the time we arrived, Kak Nani Rahayu was giving a speech on IT. seeing the familiar faces of our CSes, though we can’t remember all of their names, made us feel small. they looked almost the same if not younger and more elegant!

a few others shared their experiences with the present collegians and had a Q&A session after that. we too had our own career talk with Kak Zefi..hehehe. kalau dulu sure tak berani nak speak leisurely with her like that.. after the talk ended, we wanted to watch the line dancing, instead we went straight to the dining hall. but we got distracted on the way and took pictures in front of the fountain near block A. yes, dengan selambanya bersila atas rumput dan bising gell. as usual we attracted A LOT of attention with our volume. haha. then off we go to the dining hall, with a hope Kak Julia would serve SAUSAGE MASAK MERAH in her menu, but no, she served FIERY HOT ayam masak merah instead [seriously pedas gell!!!]. the lunch spread was scrumptious, even though we didn’t get to eat the lauk-pauk that we really missed.

and oh, the MOST important thing during the lunch spread was i think, when we saw Kak Julia. i guess those who saw her that day,were a bit shocked. she looked REALLLLLLLY old. and tired. no more the loud and garang Kak Julia that we used to put up with back then. we gave her a big round of applause. as always, we were the one who started it and then the whole dining hall cheered for her.she smiled at us, perhaps overwhelmed with the fact that we still remember her. who can forget her, right?

truth be told, i have A LOT to tell right now i don’t even know where to start! it was definitely a memorable day, one that we can always reminisce and put a smile on our faces. so, let us start with the report now,shall we?

firah drove me,shambie,dekinn and elly (nazliha) to seremban at 7.30 approx. yup! we got up real early that special day. after a couple of sesat-menyesat on the way to alma mater, the first thing that caught my eyes when we reached seremban was Terminal One. hahaha. lots of memories there! then we realized that Padang MPS was not there anymore. we used to performed there quite a few times right, band members? we took a short cut route to college, and started feeling butterflies in our tummies. the roundabout @ Jln Sikamat is gone and replaced with traffic lights, so no more gerai CEMPEDAK GORENG there! huhu.

upon reaching Jln Tunku Kurshiah, we were shocked by the numbers of cars parked along the road outside college compound. we were like, ‘wow, so many old girls datang sampai kena park kat luar?!‘.. but alas, “sekolah bawah” was having an event too, hence the ‘traffic’. lol. so in we went into the college gate and was greeted by a FEMALE guard with warm smile. no more “Pakcik SM”,ok?! lols. and the BATU where we took our class pictures, near principal’s house is painted in cream now, i don’t know why. sangat tak menarik..

we arrived at approximately an hour later, firah parked behind Dewan Budiman. the very first thing that we realized was the buildings behind surau. yup, there are 2 new buildings behind surau, so now we have smaller field for sport’s day and standard takings. pokok2 besar di tepi padang and beside the garzebo were all gone. sobsobsob.. anyway, as we got off the car, the percussionists were practising the college song intro beside the hall. really felt welcome even though it was just a coincidence. lol.

we registered ourselves,according to houses, @ the booth in front of block G [beside music room]. we were given a goodie bag each, with college 60 years anniversary stickers and the OGA Day itinerary. then we head to Dewan Budiman for the Wind Orchestra performance. while waiting for the performance to start, aliza,haida and ninie arrived. the seven of us really made the hall ‘macam rumah sendiri’.. juniors were ‘amazed’ i guess at how loud we were that time. haha.

after dato’ fuziah [OGA president] and the principal finished their speeches, the college wind orchestra started their performance. i think they played Disney’s songs, for more details perhaps ninie can elaborate on that. the wind orchestra will be competing in June [national level] and if they become the champion, they might be able to go overseas for the international level. the second part of the performance is of course, THE COLLEGE SONG. it was conducted by a TKC8084 if i’m not mistaken. or TKC8185. percussionists started taking their places on the stairs and the intro started. the seven of us got so excited we stood up and started singing the college song [loudly]. then the kakak-kakak followed, and so the present collegians. we were like, di manakah college spirit?! it was like a reflex, the moment we heard the percussionists with the college song intro, we immediately stood up to sing the college song. it’s always been like that, right? but not with the adik-adik in college nowadays.
