Idaman writing , first post I’ve ever put up here. I think a shared weblog is one of the best things we could do to keep in touch, Facebook aside.
Hearty congratulations to all the recently engaged and married! Also congratulations to all the new mothers and mothers-to-be!
I’d also like to say – what about our other achievements? Not to disparage the brides, brides-to-be, mothers & mothers-to-be, but as women of the world and women with careers, I believe we should also celebrate our other successes – careerwise, educationwise, lifewise.
I don’t know for sure, but aren’t there a bunch of new medical professionals among us? Hands up, you. Congratulations to you! Where are you posted, and how do you find life and work? Also, engineers – anyone have a PE licence/IR yet? Who works in government? I know Sarina is PTD officer, right? Congratulations to you too!
And the legal practitioners – Aliza, Baini, Jaja, Hanisah? Do you like your work? Tell us. And the scholars among us – the ones toiling tirelessly towards a Masters, a PhD. Where are you, and what are you researching? How does it feel to be part of the academic elite?
Is anyone in the arts? The architects among us – Ina?
I know Nana once worked at a special education school – I think that is commendable, and something we should all emulate. Most of us have been pretty fortunate, and it’s only just that we try to spread the fortune.
I guess what I’m trying to say is, we have a wealth of experience in our group, from all the different paths we’ve taken. I personally would love to hear about your wins and your losses, no matter what they are. Love, marriage and family is a big part of life, but it is not all.

hi idaman and everyone. i haven’t got much privilege to do community service except a few – attending to those who are born spastic and orphans.
i called up nana before going there on what to expect from these kids (considering dia banyak buat mende2 ni kan?). let me tell you i was humbled by their presence and how they are living their lives to the fullest amid their physical liminations. my spastic-mate could not speak so i had a hard time communicating with her, but in the end, it helps to be a bit observant on body language and differentiating the little sounds she made like.. ooh, ahh, ermm, argh! it was tough la tapi in the end well worth it.
on the orphans plak, well, i had mixed feelings after attending to them in this anak angkat program. ada yang spoil brats but most of them are quite nice. some are quite demanding in terms of what you give them (siap criticise lagi) tapi apa nak buat. nobody wants ‘junk’ handed to them i suppose.

as for bocah -> am now working as a surgical intern in our lady of lourdes hospital, drogheda, ireland. Susah deal dengan nyawa orang…..anyway….can’t complaint!
Will be going home for good, along with faha, insyaAllah this July 09, n will be serving government hospital soon, tak tau lagi hospital mane-> belom apply lagi.

salam, hi gurls, sorry if m late replying this thread (asik belated je la kan, huuu)
i juz sat for my final exam last week, Alhamdulillah lulus
TAPI ( a BIG tapi ok) belum boleh grad, sebabnya kitorang kena kerja kat rumahsakit2 daerah kat sini for 20weeks, & guess what? TANPA GAJI ok? hohoho~
ni final qualificationla before graduating, insyaALLAH by oct dah boleh sumpah dokter, then grad, insyaALLAH (seriously tak sabar gell nak grad!tak tahan dah duk sini lama2 =/) –> lama gell tak guna GELL, hahaha~
i’ll be coming back for my 1week break tomorrow, sorry sangat mar & k’ee abaw tak dapat nak datang ke wedding korang, but abaw doakan semuanya berjalan lancar ya?

true.. true.. siape yg nk amek master part time tu sile fikir 3-4 kali okkay.. sgt membencikan.. i have no free weekends at all.. smpi kn wedding maryam pn tk bleh attend sbb final exam.. (mar!! aku ade final paper on may 2nd and 3rd.. huhuhu)..
btw, i’m half-way thru my M.Eng in Electrical (Power).. another 2 semesters to go and insyaAllah i’ll be on my way of getting my DR by nx year.. doa kan saya ye kawan2..

im late, as usual! serious fizzy kena email kat FB baru tau ade update kat sini.
nways, i HAVE finished my Masters in Applied Finance & Investment, fuhh~ and yes peeps, part-time sgt menyeksakan. thank god thats all over. to those yg masih bertarung nyawa with it, i wish u guys the best of luck. im losing a bestfren to it, tsk tsk kan ina?
On another note, (aku tak tau la aku ni tamak ke ape), but im doing my professional papers now – Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). baru start, so +- another 3-4 yrs kot. penat nyahhh!! ntah la, dah separuh nafas, tak tau bole abes ke tak. anyone else doing this?

saya sedang bekerja di hospital universiti kebangsaan malaysia sebagai seorang pegawai perubatan siswazah, dan hari ini merupakan malam terakhir saya oncall dan bekerja di bidang obstetrik dan ginekologi, insya Allah.saya sudah tidak sabar untuk bercuti selama seminggu kerana saya sudah penat bekerja atas panggilan (oncall) selang sehari atau dua hari.saya mahu tidur sepuas hati dan selama mungkin kerana tidak selalu saya mempunyai peluang untuk berbuat demikian.selepas ini saya akan menyambung pekerjaan saya dalam bidang pembedahan pula.baiklah.sekarang sudah pukul 12.45 pagi di hari sabtu.kemudian saya harus melalukan VE (pemeriksaan ..tuuutttt….) untuk seorang pesakit yang sudah tergolek2 di atas katil menahan kesakitan bersalin.semoga sudah buka besar supaya mudah dan cepat saya boleh menghantar dia ke bilik bersalin.selamat malam / pagi rakan2!!

hello everyone…thanks idaman, liked the post…
yes, after two and a half years of fighting, mentally and physically, I’ve just submitted my M.Sc thesis “Generation and characterization oatesf a T2 (TNFR) PLAD-domain deletion myxoma virus”…yerp, nvrmind the details, in short, it took me almost two years to construct the @#$%#@@ virus!!!! & no, this is not to scare off any postgraduates-to-be…At a point when it seemed that there was nothing else left (even my supervisor pun dh mati akal pikir), Allah itu Maha Pemurah lagi Maha Mengetahui, 1st nite pose last year, i got my virus made…and that what kept me going…doing a postgraduate degree, for me what I can say that I can’t guarantee that it won’t/it will be an easy road (the thesis writing was the worst part!), then again I’ve gained alot along the way, and to have friends, that’s really2 important!…and to me that is priceless…they say, u learn more when things don’t work the way they should be (owh did i really learned more! more than I thought!!!) yes, u may call me old-fashioned@nerdy 
maybe crazy too becoz I’ll be doing a PhD after this (i do sometimes tried to punch myself thinking if I’m still dreaming…) n I know this time it won’t be any easier than before! but, that’s the challenge. currently waiting patiently while my thesis is being examined (please pray for me!) and looking forward to start PhD life in couple of months. What keeps me going? i just like doing what i’m doing now, research in medical sciences…i have this very dreamy idea, that whatever i can do even for a small bit, that can make a difference in human health if not now but in the future, that’s more than enough to keep me going…with that, i am grateful to know how lucky i am to have this group of gifted people as my friends…

hmm…accidentally found you guys here..not sure if any1 here still remember me…10 years quite a long time….hiding.;))
Anyway, glad hearing all of you are still breathing, expanding, evolving, etc. Met some of you along the way though. In fact, I’m living in the same area as syazis (Huda Syazwani). She’s a great teacher here in Selangor.
While I’m working as drug enforcement officer in Selangor Health Dept.. It is a tough and exciting job. Previously worked in Hospital Sg. Buloh as pharmacist (around 2007).
Planning to study art for fun later in life if I get the chance and time.
Lastly, all the best to all reading this. P/S Liza, I hope you don’t cultivate those viruses in you…;))
