tkc9600 10th Anniversary – part 4 39
Dearest tkc9600,
A few days back, Firah has messaged me and a few others in Facebook. So for a few days, we have been discussing roughly on the committees and what to do during the reunion. But before I proceed to the point, I’d like to apologize for not updating our blog. I’m not going to give any excuses because for sure it’s going to be cliché and lame,so I’m hoping you guys would accept my apology. ♥ ♥ ♥ InsyaAllah, God willing, I’ll update this blog as frequent as I can.
In part 3 of our 10th Anniversary entry, I wrote about the committees for the reunion. A few have suggested me as the Director in that entry. And again in the Facebook message. Accepting it comes with a big burden of duties, so I’m hoping we can all work together to make the reunion a successful and memorable event. Here’s the list of the committees that we’ve roughly discussed. Kindly voice out your comment if you think this committee needs amendment.

- Souvenirs – Shazu, Inamadz, Idya
As you can see we still have a few posts empty. I’d like to nominate Nana, but don’t know for 7,8, or 9.. Nana please volunteer for one! Hehehehe.. And if anyone thinks she’s up to the challenge, please nominate yourself. No need to be shy or whatnot, because this is for the benefit of our batch. Plus, time is running out!! We have to have the committee a.s.a.p so that we can work on the plans.
For now, we kind of decided to have a “mini gathering” during OGA Day on the 1st of May 2010. Nothing specific has been planned, for now it’s just like a normal visit to Bukit Merbah. But if a number of us gather in one place, you know it won’t be NORMAL anymore,right? It’ll be LOUD. EXTREMELY LOUD!! Hehehehe. And the date for the reunion I assume it’s decided on Sunday, 10.10.10? Unless Shambie decided to tie the knot that day [jeng jeng jeng], I think for now we’ll be using that date as our benchmark. Am I right?
So girls, I think that’s all for now. Will update more once I get your feedback.

hi guys! wow it’s been 10 yrs already? i feel so old. btw really looking forward for the reunion =). i have little suggestions here..erm 10.10.10 it’s gonna be a very hot date for weddings+engagement. surely lotsa functions goin on dat day. im jz concern we cudnt get the crowd =(. and i hv questions- Is PR function falls under Program/Events, headed by Fozz, Nadiah and Jaja Farizan?if dat so, then cool =). coz we might want to do invitation, rsvp n etc. and i dun mind tlg2 u guys if the team needs help =).
that’s my concern too, actually.
but it’s be sooooooo special laa if we can make it on that date.
another date is Dec 6. i’m ok with it too since dh cuti skolah..but’s it’s on MONDAY laa.. tu yg susah.

kalo takde nomination lain, i guess im ok with the jawatan treasurer
but have to start the ball rolling soon la. IF we r having the dinner at a hotel, chances are our cost akan agak mahal la, n my idea is to start collecting small sums every month leading up to the dinner, sbb takut nanti kalo mintak one lump-sum, org keberatan plk. but to do that, we need to start drawing up attendance list. i knw its still quite far ahead n org susah nak confirm, but its better to block ur dates earlier n juz clear up ur calendar.
Batch 98 did theirs at Al-Rawsha restaurant, Jln Damai and it was havoc gila! from what i gather they managed to get abt 50+ pax turn-up. I think bayar per head was abt RM100. Spouses were invited as well. Then they hired a photographer jgk. Then door gift, which was a handbag ikut kaler house masing2. And small prizes for the quizzes/games. The restaurant is juz an old bungalow, so tak la mahal. If we decide to do hotel, definitely lagi mahal (>RM100 per pax), hence y i suggest to start collecting money now. But if everybody tak keberatan, then bole je la pay one lump-sum later.

i agree 10.10.10 is quite a hot date so some may have other commitments. i like the 6th December 2010. kalau tak cuti pun, try je la amik cuti eh? or have dinner.. then no need to cuti, unless kita nak buat whole day event.
with all these suggestions and ideas.. i suggest we note down all this..someone tlg note down all the suggestions thru here, fb and word of mouth (suggest secretary klu ada masa..hehehe!)
and we hv a ROUND 1 discussion/ brainstorming session di mana2..so that everyone will be on the same page as at dat particular date. then senang nak start the ball rolling ie
1) date
2) location shorlisting
3) budget – so dat kiau n nini ble start bukak buku 555
4) theme, itinerary
5) doorgift
6) invitation list, headcount
7) misc – photog, entertainment, mc
bila sume org free tapi?
item 1 and 2 dah shortlisted kan – date: diwali. venue: al rawsha / kedai arab cyber / bombay palace / sekaum dengannya.
or if nak cam banglow ke ape, yg serendah tu ok gak kan fozz? ada jugak kedai ape tah theme die ala2 private bungalow, in bangsar, so cam boleh rent the whole place, upah caterer – macam malas je. ok, not helping, bye

about the food,erm i’m with idya on this one, if we go like something ‘ikan,kambing@ayam bakar’ style of dish or ‘krabu like’ dishes ke? and is it going to be like buffet style or 3-4-9 courses style?what do u gurls prefer?
