A few days back, Firah has messaged me and a few others in Facebook. So for a few days, we have been discussing roughly on the committees and what to do during the reunion. But before I proceed to the point, I’d like to apologize for not updating our blog. I’m not going to give any excuses because for sure it’s going to be cliché and lame,so I’m hoping you guys would accept my apology. ♥ ♥ ♥ InsyaAllah, God willing, I’ll update this blog as frequent as I can.

In part 3 of our 10th Anniversary entry, I wrote about the committees for the reunion. A few have suggested me as the Director in that entry. And again in the Facebook message. Accepting it comes with a big burden of duties, so I’m hoping we can all work together to make the reunion a successful and memorable event. Here’s the list of the committees that we’ve roughly discussed. Kindly voice out your comment if you think this committee needs amendment.

As you can see we still have a few posts empty. I’d like to nominate Nana, but don’t know for 7,8, or 9.. Nana please volunteer for one! Hehehehe.. And if anyone thinks she’s up to the challenge, please nominate yourself. No need to be shy or whatnot, because this is for the benefit of our batch. Plus, time is running out!! We have to have the committee a.s.a.p so that we can work on the plans.

For now, we kind of decided to have a “mini gathering” during OGA Day on the 1st of May 2010. Nothing specific has been planned, for now it’s just like a normal visit to Bukit Merbah. But if a number of us gather in one place, you know it won’t be NORMAL anymore,right? It’ll be LOUD. EXTREMELY LOUD!! Hehehehe. And the date for the reunion I assume it’s decided on Sunday, 10.10.10? Unless Shambie decided to tie the knot that day [jeng jeng jeng], I think for now we’ll be using that date as our benchmark. Am I right?

So girls, I think that’s all for now. Will update more once I get your feedback.

FYI, the expiration date of our domain name (tkc9600.com) is on every 7th October each year! Pembayaran boleh dibuat sehingga maksima 5 tahun. Tapi kalau bayar banyak-banyak sekaligus, takde diskaun pon (hampeh~ :ops:). Bagi aku, ok je kalau bayar 2-3 tahun terus, tak perlu la jadik macam mckk9600.com ek? heeee

As for the hosting and bandwidth thingy… aku tumpang shambijoux.com (which cost me RM80 anually). Tapi tak pakai sepenuhnya pun, only a small portion of the 10GB space and 50GB bandwidth. Is it ok if I charge a small amount of money to support these too?

i’m terribly sorry for the long silence. i’ve been away for a couple of weeks because of the school holidays. yup, i made FULL USE of my school break, and really berehat-rehat sambil menternak lemak di rumah. even though during weekends daku akan bersama shambie. and last weekend we went to mizot’s before attending my friend’s wedding. managed to ‘update’ a.k.a gossip a little.  :lol:

yeah, i know we ALL HAVE NOT REGISTERED for TKCOGA yet, but it’s ok i guess. after all, once a TKCian, always a TKCian, right? if the kakak-kakak see Class of 2000 together, they won’t be in doubt. don’t you think? if any of you would like to bowl and represent TKC9600 [which you're most welcome to!], do contact the person in charge. Kak Fern told me they need to confirm the teams by 20th June 2009 [that's this Saturday!!], so if you’re interested please cepat-cepat call. and guys, don’t underestimate OGA ok, from our experiences that day, they are no different from us. still gila-gila.

one thing though, the event is on the SAME day as Idya’s wedding. i know i won’t be around for Le Tua de Alley. so are Atie,Shazu,Firah,Kochee,Kechik and others who are going to Temerloh. but, even if i get to go i know i’ll only be the cheerleader, bersorak di belakang-belakang only.

first of all, thanks a lot for ALL the birthday and teachers’ day wishes last week. i had a fantabulous 26th year on earth thanks to all your love, rakan-rakan. and for your info, during the teachers’ day celebration in my school, i was ‘crowned’ the GURU PALING DIGERUNI by the students. sheishhhh.. i guess 5 years with Miss Vicky had some sort of influence to me.

as you all know, next year will be our 10th year graduating from college. alhamdulillah i’ve got positive feedbacks from those i’ve talked to, and it seemed like the BIG anniversary is absolutely a MUST next year. aliza, as our batch leader, has given me and shambie the ‘permission’ to be her representatives in the planning of the anniversary. lol. it’s nothing big really, but since we can get through to you guys easier [via this web and facebook], so she thinks it’s just appropriate to do that. the only problem is that we are working nun jauh di timur semenanjung, so it’s really impossible for us to meet up with all of you face to face and to discuss the itinerary. this is why EACH AND EVERY tkc9600, CLASS OF 2000 plays a MAJOR role in making sure the planning of the anniversary goes on. whenever you have a get together among tkc9600, after all GOSSIPS have been shared,please chip in some discussion regarding the anniversary..hehehe. then, let me or shambie know of any development so that we can put it up in our dotcom.

and just to share something i recently stumbled upon, our friends mckk9600 has begun their 10th year anniversary planning.  i know we can’t be as organized as they are, plus with some of us being Mommies to our anak-anak saudara, the activities to be planned seems a bit limited. but i regard mckk9600’s planning as a motivation and challenge for us to do even better. i have a few ideas in mind, but in the meantime let’s just brainstorm on what we want to have in the itinerary. but the most important thing is to decide when is the best DATE to have the anniversary. aliza had made a STRONG reminder to yours truly that the anniversary should be after September, but it’s not mandatory [cheiss, i'm using law-related word! mentang-mentang tengah cakap pasal aliza!] we’ll try to have it on a day which everyone can make it.

so, let the ideas/opinions/suggestions coming. and for the time being we’ll discuss it online. when everything’s final, we’ll start drafting the paperwork. wow!

this is the activities planned by TKCOGA for the visit to TKC this coming Saturday. I have posted an invitation and asked for your RSVP in Facebook but to no avail. only me and shambie replied. terasa mcm syok sendiri pun ada.. huhu.. anyway here goes;

Registration begins at 8 am. RM30 per OG will get you a goodie bag, lunch, other OGs’ great company & fun activities which include:

i doubt the gathering would be a formal one. since it’s coming from jasara, not baiyah or kak e.. hehehehehe. most of the time we’d be gossiping and reminiscing the times back in bukit merbah. unless jasara decided to get serious and talk about the current economy breakdown, then we’ll all be shocked. lol.

i’m merely trying to keep this dotcom alive so i decided to update the story here.since there are some of us who couldn’t access to co2000, i hope this entry will keep you updated. for further and more thorough explanation, i still think you should read jasara’s message in our yahoogroup [and then had a good laugh..]  this is just the excerpt from the message that i think ‘appropriate’ to be updated here.. lol.

Raya has just passed and we are all in good spirits. Thought that we should organise a charity to help the poorest students in Malaysia. All this while I noticed, we ex-TKCians have been thinking about helping our school but there are people out there who are more unfortunate than the poorest in our school.

I’m not sure who actually reads this blog anymore, but I thought I might as well use it since its already up and running. So far I have in my plate is nothing specific. So would appreciate if anyone can:

- suggest a name for this project. I’m really bad at naming things. Tolong?

- suggest our target donatee (is there such a word?). Korang paham je la ok?

- be volunteers to coordinate donations i.e. barang-barang and cash donations, logistics, marketing i.e. juruhebah (by state/country for those still overseas?) etc etc.

- suggest a suitable date for us to visit our unfortunate receipients.

- suggest anything that can help to make this effort successful.

Tapi, tapi, tapi, before we can start collecting anything, I think it’s best we identify our receipients and volunteers first. I’m sure you guys can’t wait to get rid of your old story books, notebooks, clothes etc but, hold them until a bunch of volunteers can start to coordinate and collate your stuffs. Or better still, be a volunteer yourself. =D

Cash is also welcomed but hang on to it until we are more organised, takut-takut hilang ke apa-apa. Just so that this project has some integrity, especially on money matters.

Target date is some time in January 08. Why so late? Well, just so we have enough time to organise the logistics. Besides, baru bukak skolah at that time, so I think it’s the best time to donate. Feel free to suggest any other dates as well. Lets not rush into things and be over ambitious kalau boleh.

My final message to my friends out there, lets put our differences and busy lives aside for a good cause. It’s probably the most productive of all our informal and formal events guys, 3 in 1 - merehatkan akal, beramal dan bermesra ngan kawan-kawan lama. Eceh!

For the time being, I’ll be helping to push this thing forward (reminding people, collating information etc), but the final committee and product is up to you. Just thought of making this project as fluid as possible.

No cash or anything to donate? Least you can do is spread the word. Ask your friends, family, boyfriends whoever to join in. Afterall, its for a good cause.

Should we start a topic in the TKCOGA yahoogroup and suggest to OGA to fight against the relocation of TKC?
In my humble opinion, moving college to a new compound is okay, but if the old school compound is being made into another school than that’ll be sad kan?
We had fun and laughter there as well as tears and heartaches.
That’s why it’s hard for us to accept the fact.

But when Kak Ruby said there are some OGs who are fighting hard against the idea, it gets me all excited.
Maybe we can suggest them to just upgrade whatever facilities that we have  in Bukit Merbah so that the college can remain there forever.
Or is it impossible?

Sob-sob.. I almost cried when I read the article.

It was as if our memories are being taken away from us.
